With the holidays and a new year fast on our heels, the elves in Microsoft’s workshop are ever busy with many exciting additions to D365 Sales & Microsoft teams. In the coming months, new features and functionality are slated for both preview and general availability on Microsoft’s roadmap. Below are just a few notable features to be on the lookout for.

For D365 Sales

  • Sales Manager Dashboards & Seller KPIs.
    Public Preview: December 2021
    General Availability: February 2022
The manager dashboard allows managers to view the performance of their teams and sequences, as well as coach and guide sellers including: time taken to convert leads and opportunities, conversion ratio between leads and opportunities, success rate of sequences, and status of sequence steps associated with leads and opportunities.
  • Automatically Route Leads.
    General Availability: March 2022
This routing functionality will improve lead conversion ratios with timely lead assignment and faster lead qualification times. Components like segments, lead and seller attributes and distribution method can all help define the rules for automatic assignment to sellers. Additionally, seller attributes and team capacity can affect new lead routing rules.
  • Seamless Experience between D365 & Microsoft Teams
    Public Preview: March 2022
Sellers will be able to: create and join Microsoft Teams meetings directly from D365, access and update records from the context of a Microsoft Teams meeting, capture meeting notes during a Teams meeting, sync notes to records in D365 Sales, and view a real-time call analysis and insights during Teams meetings.

For Microsoft Teams

  • Teams Q&A
    Public Preview: November 2021
By adding the Q & A app into any Teams webinar or meeting, users will be able to create either a moderated or unmoderated Q&A experience.
  • Configure activity feed notifications
    General Availability: December 2021
Users will be able to control the type of notifications that appear in their activity feed.
  • Microsoft Teams Connect
    Public Preview: March 2022
Teams Connect will make it easier for organizations to collaborate with peers outside of their organization. Teams users can use Teams’ full suite of collaboration capabilities with external partners in other Azure AD orgs the same way they are used with colleagues from your organization.
