Overview

As one of the more than 80 national sections that make up Amnesty International, Amnesty Denmark was founded in 1964 and today has more than 60,000 members. Hundreds of thousands of Danes support the organization every year financially or by campaigning for human rights for people around the globe.

Challenge

Human rights violations occur all too frequently, and as an organization dedicated to protecting those rights, Amnesty International must campaign effectively and efficiently to raise awareness, lobby for change, and fundraise.

Amnesty International Denmark recognized that they were unable to run their campaigns properly, due to having outdated systems and a mixture of technology and manual processes that created complicated and constraining bottlenecks. Data was often poor or unavailable to those that needed it, which made it difficult to plan, initiate and report on campaign results and performance. Consequently, resources had to be diverted away from critical activities towards administrative tasks.

Solution

One of Click’s partners in Denmark, Hybrid Professionals, helped Amnesty International Denmark increase their digital capabilities by implementing two integrated technologies that replaced all of their siloed legacy systems. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, they introduced Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage contacts and donors, while Click’s automated journey building technology became the engine that powers real-time, trackable communications to the organization’s audiences.

Click integrates natively with Dynamics, so data always remains within Amnesty’s CRM, keeping it available, usable, updated, and clean throughout the campaign process. Clean data allows for more personalized, more effective outreach communications, a critical part of their fundraising activities.

Results

The combined solution of Click and Dynamics 365 and has allowed Amnesty to eliminate a considerable number of manual processes. In turn, this has released more internal resources to be focused directly on the organization’s cause rather than administrative tasks.

Internal alignment within the organization has improved dramatically, enabling everyone to see the same customer data and campaign performance metrics in a single, scalable and easy-to-use system. Click’s journey building tools help Amnesty to create more cohesive, multi-channel campaigns so they can reach their audiences in a wider variety of ways, drawing more attention to their cause and improving awareness and fundraising activities.
